The title says it all, I guess. Anyway, there's no way I'm the only one who ditches her chemistry homework (or any homework, for that matter) for a bit of thumb-fiddling with the console! This is your chance to fess up :P

So what's been on your game system lately? In my case, ever since finishing Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep a couple of months ago, I've been addicted to Persona 3 Portable. This is my first incursion into the SMT/Persona world, and it's been a very enjoyable ride so far.

Oh, these are both PSP games. I also have a PS2 (and it's shocking pink, with equally pink controllers and memory card! xDD), but the poor thing's been left all alone in the depths of my room since Christmas - and I don't think I'll be rescuing it anytime soon, thanks to my upcoming exams; the PSP is enough of a temptation as it is.

At the moment I am mostly playing World of Warcraft. Even though it isn't a console game, I guess it counts...^^

I haven't played any console games in a looong time, but I really like the Final Fantasy series and RPGs in general...

Currently playing re-playing FF:Crisis Core. At first, I wasn't that into it and didn't particularly like the level up system... but now I think it is great. And, the mission aspect of it really prolongs the game.

Other than that, not really playing anything else right now. My PS3 is gathering dust and probably will be for the foreseeable future. >> Though, I have heard good things about LA Noire... so I might look into getting that.

@ Daisy
I am a pretty big KH fan and thought Birth by Sleep was really good. Being able to use / play through the story as three different characters was definitely a neat thing to do. Not to mention, that I thought it was really neat how they made an effort to include so many characters from the others ones in it. Though, since it basically is the "first" KH, they pretty much had no choice. :)

All I've been playing lately is Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions (the remake for PSP) and Monster Tale (DS).
During the last month I also played a lot of Argo (PC MMORPG), but since I've hit the "grind wall", I'll probably spend less time with it from now on.

Besides those, I also have a PS2 hooked to my PC (I like being able to film and take screenshots from games), a Wii on the living room and a very old Nintendo 64 which I hook when I miss it <3

The newer one is the PSP (bought in february), and I specially love it's "save-state" thing since I can put the games on-hold without it actually wasting battery (like the DS's sleep mode), and it can also "pause" the games when the battery is over so I won't need to worry about losing any progress. Althougn I only have two games for the PSP (FFT and Maverick Hunter X), I plan on getting more during the year, and a bigger Memory Stick as well so I can get PSN games too =D

I have several console systems, but the last one I was playing was PS2 (I have a lot of unfinished games there!) but in november I bought my Xbox 360, and I´ve been playing it since then.

The games I played recently: Bioshock (1 and 2), Resident Evil 5, Portal (original and 2, oh god that game rules!) and Marvel vs Capcom 3.

And I´m also finishing with Golden Sun Dark Dawn for the DS.

P.D. Damn it, too many popular games lately, I must return to cult classics for a while, jeje.

Wow, it seems there are a few FF fans in here! I only have FFX for the PS2, and it's currently on hold because KH: BBS took over, and now Persona, so... Maybe I'll get back to Tidus and his mates in the holidays.

Heh, I only have three game systems: PS2, PSP and... -drumroll- GameBoy Colour! As for that last one, blame it on Pokémon.

@vintagemistakes:
Yeah, I thought it was pretty well done too. The three-character thing definitely put things into a whole new perspective. My favourite character to play with was Ven, as he's quick and doesn't rely on magic too much (I like to hit 'em with the Keyblade :D). I followed the recommended order and played as Terra first, which I guess is okay when it's your first playthrough, but after I finished the game I went back to try and level up at the Mirage Arean and found him so... I don't know, clunky? Okay, he's got physical power, but his agility leaves a lot to be desired compared to the other two. Also, it probably didn't help that I have mixed feelings about him :X

Lol.. I am right with you there. I guess I am just one of those "button mashers" at heart. :)

My order went, Ven, Aqua, Terra... And yea.. I didn't like Terra that much at all. Describing him as "clunky" fits perfectly. He was slow and seemed like he was always left open to counterattacks. Plus, I didn't really like his character that much. I don't know exactly why and seem to have those same mixed feelings about him, but I think it can easily be said as "he just wasn't my type".

All in all though, I thought it was really great game that gave the avid fan great insight into the beginning of the series. Though, I feel bad for those that don't have a PSP and love KH - it seems kind of unfair to have such an important part of the series on a different platform...

Edit: I am also going to check out Persona. I have never played any of the games, but am intrigued.

Well, I just finished Portal 2 a couple of days ago. Yay PC gaming~ But the game that I honestly still need to finish that I'm somewhat addicted to is Atelier Annie Alchemist of Sera Island... While the turn based fighting aspect is a turn down, I like how the rest of the game keeps me moving and creating. I kept telling myself to stop in one hour... stop in one more hour... stop in another hour... Then it became night and I had accomplished no work~

I guess I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I had a 3DS as well. I might just play and play and play.

So I have been replaying FF XIII and I must say that I really like it.

I can understand all the problems people had with it ( no towns, auto re heal after every fight, etc), but the fighting system is actually awesome. It really allows one to focus on strategy rather than individual spell casting.

As for it being one really long corridor... was FF X any different? I mean, that game was pretty much just a linear, yet loved? I fail to see why a bunch of people dislike it because of this....

Playing Portal 2 right now ( again ) and I must say, that I have never played a game with such rich and amazing writing / voice acting. If it wasn't for those parts of the game, it would just be a pretty basic puzzle game. yet it is truly amazing...

Maybe, I am just a masochist, but the fact that the game insults me in a very sarcastic way, just makes it all the better!

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch comes out in a couple of days in the US and I am just wondering if anyone has had the chance to play the Japanese version and can tell me how it is.

I keep on hearing amazing things about it, but when I played the demo I didn't really get a good feel for it. Sure it was gorgeous and seemed fun to play, but it seemed kind of 'meh' to me if that makes any sense. I guess, it just seemed Okay and nothing great. Though it was just a demo and those can definitely be misleading / hard to accurately portray a game well so who knows...
